PHP whois scripting problem

This is driving me totally insane and i cannot for the life of me figure out what is wrong with is

The problem i am facing is that it keeps saying the whois server has timed out and i cannot for the life of me figure out why

could someone please help me to fix it or point me in the direction of script that is similar or better that works, doesnt have to be php could be asp instead.

you really shouldn't have a link to phpinfo of your site. A hacker could use this to get a lot of insight into your set up.
