Positioning elements vertically in tall table cell: think google calendar's week view

Hey guys, how are you?

Straight to the point: I'm attempting to create something google-calendarish.

As I see how it's done over there, each day in the week view is simply a tall table cell. Events are placed in a dl->dt->dd. My question is: how are they positioned vertically to match the correct hour?

Also, are there any other nice ways to solve this element positioning problem?
