Aside from the questions I've asked so far, I actually am curious as to what would be a good selection of Web technologies to have under your belt for some minor-scale web design services? I'm not saying like making the next facebook, but simpler web sites (portfolios, ad sites, whatever).
Right now, from what I've seen I'm debating on getting XHTML/HTML5, CSS (so far those two I feel I'm fluent enough in that I can actively learn WHILE developing if need be) and maybe... some jquery/javascript?
So is that a good proverbial "hand" to start with?
