Auto refresh with count down time hlp pls

Hi I have just a small webpage deplaying live webcams for traffic and I would like an auto refresh feature with a live count down timer that displays on the webpage and not in the status bar, but I want to have the scripting on a seperate page.

can anyone help with this script if it can be done?.
also I am sorry if this has been posted before, I have done a search but could find the results I was looking for, also tried google but I can only find an auto refresh with a count down that shows in the status bar.
