Looks like table? problem with HTML email in Outlook

I'm designing an email in Vertical Response and having trouble in Outlook.

I have a table creating a content area and a sidebar. In the sidebar, one ad keeps jumping way down for no apparent reason in Outlook. It's fine in the preview and fine in Gmail.

I selected over the email and noticed that right above the orange button where the problem is, it looks like there is a one-pixel gap that coincides with where the ad is being placed. In the image, the arrow points the the break in the line where it is happening.

I will post more code (I have to remove all the actual content and URL references) if someone would like, but I thought maybe at first glance, this might indicate toward a known issue.
