Developing a social network website

Hi guys, I'm Raged and as you can see I am new here.
I'm a webdeveloper and a.t.m. I could use the opinion from you guys here.

Now, I'm developing a social network website. I can't give much details about it but there will be so custom parts. Now my question was, what framework/language should I use?

I allready tried to find it out by myself, I've found out that I could use one off the follow frameworks/applications

- Codeigniter Framework
- Wordpress together with the buddypress plugin
- Elgg

Now, what application/framework/language would you use to build a social network site with the facebook connect option.
