What Netflix uses for arrows?

For people that have netflix. When you log on to your account and see the movies of different genres like Romantic Dramas, Comedies etc you see a few movies and you can click the arrow right or left on either side and more movies will horizontally scroll into view. I was wondering what technology is that.?

Is like javascript? What is it?

I want to make something similar.

It's javascript. I've never needed to get into learning it so I can't tell you how to do it but it's a place to start.
