a:hover causing my links to move.

Hey,

I'm building a website and would like my links to be highlighted with the background image of an a:hover. At the moment when you hover over the link, the a:hover image simply pushes the text of the link out of the way. Is this a padding or positioning error??

Would anyone know how to stop this and make the a:hover image just position itself underneath the text of the link.
