Cannot get selector to work with SpryData Table

Hey guys, I am kinda new to JS, but I do know enough to be dangerous!

So I've been trying to create a Spry table using SpryData pulling it from XML and then adding jQuery zebra stripe to the dynamic table.

So far I have been unsuccessful at achieving the striped table :(, however, I did get the Spry to work and it builds the table perfectly.

I am thinking I am either not using the selector correctly.

Or there is a co***ict with jQuery and the Spry.
