Hi,

I'm new to this forum and fairly new to dreamweaver/web design.

The problem I am having is I am trying to insert multiple .swf objects into my site (using a liquid template) with great difficulty.

I am embedding/inserting the .swf files (via insert/object/swf in cs4), which is fine, but when I change the size from pixels to percentages the .swf either fails to resize OR the .swf dissapears alltogether.

Here is an example of the code (when the swf fails to change size):

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="100%" height="100%" align="absmiddle" id="FlashID3" title="advert">
<param name="movie" value="images/gallery_final_085.swf" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="wmode" value="opaque" />
<param name="swfversion" value="6.0.65.0" />
<!-- This param tag prompts users with Flash Player 6.0 r65 and higher to download the latest version of Flash Player. Delete it if you don’t want users to see the prompt. -->
<param name="expressinstall" value="scripts/expressInstall.swf" />
<!-- Next object tag is for non-IE browsers. So hide it from IE using IECC. -->
<!--[if !IE]>-->
<object data="images/gallery_final_085.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="113" height="80" align="absmiddle">
<!--<![endif]-->
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="wmode" value="opaque" />
<param name="swfversion" value="6.0.65.0" />
<param name="expressinstall" value="scripts/expressInstall.swf" />
<!-- The browser displays the following alternative content for users with Flash Player 6.0 and older. -->
<div>
<h4>Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player.</h4>
<p><a href="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer"><img src="http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/get_flash_player.gif" alt="Get Adobe Flash player" width="112" height="33" /></a></p>
</div>
<!--[if !IE]>-->
</object>
<!--<![endif]-->
</object>

Here is an example (when the .swf dissappears completely):

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="100%" height="100%" align="absmiddle" id="FlashID3" title="advert">
<param name="movie" value="images/gallery_final_085.swf" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="wmode" value="opaque" />
<param name="swfversion" value="6.0.65.0" />
<!-- This param tag prompts users with Flash Player 6.0 r65 and higher to download the latest version of Flash Player. Delete it if you don’t want users to see the prompt. -->
<param name="expressinstall" value="scripts/expressInstall.swf" />
<!-- Next object tag is for non-IE browsers. So hide it from IE using IECC. -->
<!--[if !IE]>-->
<object data="images/gallery_final_085.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="100%" height="100%" align="absmiddle">
<!--<![endif]-->
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="wmode" value="opaque" />
<param name="swfversion" value="6.0.65.0" />
<param name="expressinstall" value="scripts/expressInstall.swf" />
<!-- The browser displays the following alternative content for users with Flash Player 6.0 and older. -->
<div>
<h4>Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player.</h4>
<p><a href="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer"><img src="http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/get_flash_player.gif" alt="Get Adobe Flash player" width="112" height="33" /></a></p>
</div>
<!--[if !IE]>-->
</object>
<!--<![endif]-->
</object>

I did manage to insert the .swf via insert/object/shockwave and get it to resize (but only when previewing in cs4) but when I upload to server I get messages saying shockwave is installing (but it never installs), I installed manually but still it would not work, just keeps saying shockwave is installing.

Any help/comments will be greatfully recieved. Many, many thanks in advance, Rich
