Hey guys, I've got an upcoming project for a client where I'll have to organize and handle a large list of dentists and their info (location, specialty, etc) and also have some kind of CMS that will allow the client to plug in new dentists fairly easily.

I'm very solid with all the front end languages, and I've worked on wordpress back-ends and have a pretty basic understanding of PHP and how it works.

I'm not sure what setup I need to get this job done. Can anyone point me in the right direction just to get started?

I'm definitely willing to do all the research and put in my time learning, I just don't know where to start! I'm thinking of using drupal for the CMS, it sounds a lot more flexible than wordpress, but I could be starting off totally in the wrong direction.

Drupal is a good choice

Have a look at the address book module. Also you need to setup a few bespoke modules which should really be included in the core (Some are in version 7)

Stick with version 6 for now as 7 is still in beta

I can consult on your project if you need a hand
