Globalizing a ccTLD

Hi people,

I seem to have taken a fancy to ccTLD. I want it to use a country code domain. I believe some top notch sites are doing it as well. I want to change the name and domain of my site to a 5 letter Spanish ccTLD extension. However, I am not targeting Spanish audience. How will this impact my SEO and SERPs? How do I go about it? What do you suggest? Do you think it makes sense to buy a a.com of my 5 letter ccTLD? I don’t really know what to do. Please let me know.
