I am looking for an inline PDF viewer that works with all major browsers... Inline meaning, that I want to be able to view PDF documents right on the page...
I realize that there is an <object> I can use to display the PDF as an embedded object, but this solution does not work on Firefox on a Mac...
I also realize that I can install a program (SWFObject) on my server that will convert PDF to SWF objects and you can use 3rd party tools such as SFWPaper (among others)... But this is not an option for me, as I do not want to install a 3rd party program.
I also realize that there is a website called ISSUU that will do all my conversion and viewing for me using an API, but the problem with this is that they display ads, and I don't want to pay $20/mo to have the ads removed...
So, I am simply looking for a good solution that will work on all browsers (or at least most)... that won't cost me a fortune, I don't mind paying a one-time fee, but I don't want to pay monthly...
Any suggestions aside from what i have listed?
Any help is appreciated!
Regards,
Rob
