A very simple ajax button with php and mysql. please help

I am trying to create a very simple page

the page contains a button. at the end of the page is a counter

when the users clicks on the button, it counts 1 in the below counter automatically using ajax and mysql will be updated automatically also.

what would be the code ?

If you Google “AJAX page counter” you will get a lot of scripts which you can use and might have to make some changes to it for your needs.
