Pop out music player

I have a music player for my site but it reloads everytime a user navigates anywhere on my page. I want to make a "Pop out window" that would end the activity all together in the main window and show the music player only in the new window. Just like Facebook where you can "Pop out chat" and you no longer see it in the original window. Can anyone help me to do this?

I dont think it needs to be applied specifically to music or anything like that, just remove the object in the original window when clicked
