Hi
I'm new here, so let me introduce myself.
I'm an experienced developer, with some 15 years commercial experience, almost all of which is in the desktop application side. I've done some web stuff, but I reckon my skills are far from up-to-date in world of the web.
Why did I join up? I am trying to migrate my skill set from the desktop side to the web side. I know something about most aspects of the web side, but can't claim to be a master in it really. I'm practicing, but sometimes I just don't understand why a particular technology is preferred over another, or why a CSS styled HTML element is misbehaving. I'm hoping to pick folks brains on here to help me along. That said, I can bring my fair share of knowledge and tips on the more purely functional stuff, database design etc.
So, that's me. Here I am.
