Changes in Template

I have a template up that uses a text file to make changes to but when I send it up the changes dont take effect. the one thing I notice on my ftp program is that my text file is 286 bytes but the one up on the site is 276 I lost ten bytes and no changes take effect
things ive tried clearing history and cookies
reloading about 30 time or so. Its a flash template and the hosting site is http://www.000webhost.com/
any help would be appreciated
