Pop up image. Not pop up window.

It's becoming more common to have a script which pops up just an image when you click a thumbnail. At this point it's nothing short of rinky dink to pop up a whole window or just send it to a naked image url (no porn jokes). Unfortunately google sucks for trying to find these scripts.

I'd like a script which shows just the image and an X in the upper right corner which you click to make it go away. Any help?
