Need help seting up database

Ok I dont know much about php or mysql but I'm working on a psp website that is like pogo.com you get ponts for playing and can get thing's for it... well im cind of stuck! I dont know much about php and i tryed looking for guide's that well help me out but i cant find any thing that well help me.

what i need is some good guides on geting started with php/mysql and seting up a member ship system can some one give me links?
