need help password directory

can anyone help me, im pretty new to this

basically currently on my site i have passworded my directory, but when people click cancel i want the popup box to still appear as currently it says invalid details

can anyone help me do this? site is [deleted by mod :: new users aren't allowed links]

I don't think so. Your using .htaccess protection and while it's good it's not exactly easy to customise. You should look into embedding the authentication into your site. You would have total control over it then. Have a look at this thread (http://www.webdevforums.com/showpost.php?p=110238&postcount=8) I replied to earlier.
