Business question: which project management software do you use?

i've been at this for over 10 years professionally, and i have never used any project management software. my client base has increased to a size that requires me to get better organized, and i'm bringing in full-time employees that will need some type direction, scheduling, etc.

i am looking for software that will track a project from start to end, make notes about the client/project, schedule maintenance & updates, etc.

any help will be greatly appreciated.
