Page loads continuously

Hi,

i've got a problem with a few pages on a site i'm building continuously loading. when i run through firebug, the data loads constantly into 100's mb if i leave it, but i've no idea why. i have similar pages that load fine, and they are constructed in exactly the same way. i'm using an embedded flash slideshow (slideshowpro using swfobject), some js scripts like jquery and php. the oddest bit is that if i press stop on the browser, the slideshow (which doesn't load, just hangs) appears.

any pointers would be great as i'm quite baffled!

Are you storing the images in the database? Could account for the excessive loading times.
