Can anyone recommend an idiot-proof guide to setting up and configuring a domain name and nameservers? I myself purchased hosting with nearlyfreespeech.net and a domain with namecheap.com, and try as I might, I can't manage to get them to work together -- I'm sure I must've missed a step somewhere (all I did was look up my host's nameservers, and put them in my namecheap setup -- what else do you need to do?). :(

I'd appreciate any tips, as dumb as this thread might sound. :o

You need to set up the DNS records that link the domain name to the server. This is sometimes a confusing thing to do, other times a host will make it nearly automatic. For your host:

We offer our optional NearlyFreeSpeech.NET DNS service to make our members' web sites work with registered domain names. Just click to add it when creating your site, or any time after that, and everything will be set up for you automatically.
