Floating Divs, i think

Hi everybody! Its good to be back to the forum!!

I have a pretty simple question, i think.

I designed this site:

Then had to redesign it because it didnt allow the content to be longer than the size of div 8. So here is what i got.

However, after learning how to do a lot in CSS, i figured out everything except for the shadow divs, any idea how to position these correctly and make them stretch the size of the wrapper div?

Also, how can I add a div that would be under the Classes div?

basically to put the validation links and the designed by information, look at the first link for reference.
