Ideas for furniture catalog

Hey. I have a new project for a furniture store.

They want:

- Online Cart
- Items catalog

Basically, here's the idea:

Client picks x couch. He sees the picture of it. Next to it, a color picker. Client clicks on color, couch changes color. Selects desired color, adds to cart, checks out.

Ideas? Or any site that you know that does something similar??

Most car/computer sites do something similar. You can use JavaScript to make the couch change color. So far as the check out goes.. there are 2 good open source shopping carts in OSCommerce and Magento.
