Hello. I have some server space and a domain name. I use an ftp client to upload items to it (filezilla).
Recently two strange php scrips have appeared in my home directory. I did not put these there and when attempting to access them (with a browser) plain text reading "access denied" is output.
the files in question are named:
.wysiwygPro_preview_eacf331f0ffc35d4b482f1d15a887d3b.php
.wysiwygPro_edit_eacf331f0ffc35d4b482f1d15a887d3b.php
I thought it might have something to do with awstats, since it is the only thing I recently added to my hosting package, however, if memory serves me correctly, awstats works all through perl, but, I don't know awstats well enough to delete these files in confidence.
Does anybody know if they have anything to do with awstats? Is this a known security threat?
Thank you.
