Hello everyone,
I have been asked to design a website for a non-profit organization (in the science/research industry) that is looking to present a very professional and legitimate look and feel to an otherwise interactive website.
I was hoping to gain some insight and advice into going about this project, and to see what people thought about the most efficient way to design this site.
To get an idea of what we are looking to do, you can have a look at these sites:
1) http://www.nyp.org/
2) http://www.bhf.org.uk/
3) http://www.cancerresearch.org.uk/
The NYP site is perhaps the best template for what we are attempting to do. Basically I would like to have the possibility of Flash integration into the site, a "donation" area, a members only area, and a common accessible database system (similar to Google Docs) where researchers would be able to collaborate through the site (upload/download/edit documents).
My HTML, CSS, and PHP coding skills are moderate-advanced. However, I would prefer to use a simple (or not so simple) CMS if that is possible.
ANY help, advice, or recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks!
