Flash Video Question(s)

I own both Dreamweaver and Flash. Currently, whenever I want to publish video on a page, I use the encoder and then the dreamweaver controls to insert the file. However, whenever I use this method, I cannot seem to get the first frame to "thumbnail" the video. I would like to have something other than a black box representing my video.

Second question; Has anyone had any success with Flash video and Thickbox? I am experimenting with having my Flash video open in a window similar to lightbox. Please let me know.
