Could anybody help please? im trying to make the bottom (footer) <div> stay at the bottom of the page when i expand down and when i shorten the page stay where it is, is this possible?

One has a footer always visible at the page bottom in modern browsers, but doesn't stick to the bottom in IE6; the second has a footer that sticks to the bottom in IE6 too, but not when the content is more than the page height, when it sits below the content out of sight until you scroll to see it.
