Change colors...?

Hi, I've working on a website drinking.freehostia.com and I've got some negative feedback on the colors? Can I have some advice in that area? Also, it you think the color needs changing what should I change it to

Before I worried about the colors I's want to move the ad block from on top of the text. As it is I can't read the main block of text on the page (Mac/Fire3fox).
