I am on a regular lan (home network) all the machines except one (suse 10 enterprise i386) are windows, i have a router on the network that is our adsl.
running static ip`s accross the lan so dhcp on the router is off.
I am able to become connected to the network with no problem and the default gateway is set to my routers address, however because the dhcp is not on on the router i have to configure the isp's dns for the internet manually and i cant find a place to set it.
I have tried setting it under "host name and Name server" section using yast and this makes the primary and secondary address display correctly but i cannot connect to the internet with this setting. we are not running a domain so i think the hostname and domain name option under this section is affecting the connection. Please assist. I am new to linux(suse 10) and dont know how to get this machine connected to the internet.
Thanks
Anthony
