Trouble using ActiveX as Window Media Player

I use object tag to embed Window Media Player but it doesn't work, but when I use embed, it works well.
I have know some attributes of that ActiveX, such as: FileName, ShowDisplay, ShowControls. Can anyone tell me more or all?
And where can I study all attributes of each ActiveX such as Macromedia Flash Player, Shockwave Player, MediaPlayer...
