New Fresh Feel

Firstly, let me apologise if this is in the wrong section of the forums. I wasnt sure what section this would fit into..


Ok, here goes. I run a Aston Villa FC fansite (for those in america is a soccer club based in england) and my site is www.avillafan.com

Now i already know that the site isnt run on css tables, that is something im hoping to learn in the new fresh look im looking for.

Basically i want to redesign my website and i was looking for opinions from other web designers.

The news system on the main site at the moment looks more like a blog to me, i would like something like the news systems on www.avfc.co.uk and www.manutd.com.


I want my site to be able to load a little quicker, be attractive and appeal to the football fan out there - meaning they might not be to good with computers.

I hope some good ideas can come in and i look forward to reading them.

look is all about position and colour and there you have a problem. Position you can change fairly easily - but those poor colours you support, well you might be stuck with them.
