Hey all. I have been making a website for a while now and have recently wanted to add to its functionality. Basically, I have written some java script which takes in numbers given by the visitor of the site, then calculates the geometric progression from this; the final value is usually VERY large (e.g. 62, 000, 000).
What I want to be able to do is take this number, and then show a map to the visitor illustrating how many countries this number would fill up (in relation to their populations) - preferably I would like the map to be animated, so, for example, a different colour will spread throughout all the countries that this number fills up. The problem I have got is that I don't know how to go about doing this..... what language should I use? Would flash or something like that be best to use? Also, how would I make the map, is there a good website out there with a template i could use?
thanks for the help
