I'm starting up a temporary mailing list until the proper one gets set up on a site which will be using PHP or something. The temporary list simply needs to be able to send out to a few people, and thats it. I've considered my options and wonder which is the best course of action:
1. Use a grouping system like google or yahoo groups.
Perhaps there is too much functionality here, after all I just want people to be able to reply to the main email address, not the whole group.
2. Use a spare Gmail account.
Simple and easy. Is it too simple?
As soon as the proper list is set up it'll all just be transferred accross and it shouldn't be too difficult. I wouldn't normally advocate using one of these services and someone else's brand but this isn't a business thing, it's just for fun.
