For the first time ever I have had DMOZ coming up on list of sites connecting to my site - 5 connections in total. I signed up to DMOZ months ago - could this be someone querying in the site to add it in?

You mean that you submitted a listing inside dmoz web directory and they added your website in 5 categories? Sorry i've troubles to catch you up...
