Is it possible to have text messages sent and displayed on a website?

Hello.

I want to develop a website where a person can send a text message via their cellular (mobile) phone and it will be routed and displayed on a website that the sender had previously registered. Is that possible? Does anyone know how to do this? Any thoughts or recommendations would be much appreciated.

Yea it is possible - there are companies out there that will give you a short text number that people can text in (you'll have seen them all over the place before) and then they can send whatever data is sent through to your servers for your own database system to store and churn out the data. As for where to find these companies, I'm not sure but I do know that they exist.
