I am a big fan of star wars.. and I always find R2D2 and C3PO really funny and of course helpful in alot of ways.. the star wars saga has been going on for years now..isn't it amazing to find alot of manufacturers are doing great researches in robotics...

Hitachi is working on a security robot on wheels that can map out its surroundings using infrared sensors and a camera to detect missing items, suspicious packages and intruders.

The 22-inch tall robot, has a swiveling camera that protrudes like a periscope, enabling it to watch for suspicious changes in the landscape and send photos to a guard, Hitachi said Tuesday.

Im also a fan of starwars and like the little R2D2, especially in the last star wars when he has to kill the 2 droids and at the same time obi1 and anakin are having troubles in the elevator just at the beginning of the movie!!!
What the japs did is cute, i like their robots anyway they all have a nice face, nothing rude :p, this one is more sophisticated tho...
I hope robots can't become terrorists !!
