frontpage 2000 - hit counter

I have inserted a hitcounter in frontpage 2000 (insert >component>hit counter)

in an empty page and applied a theme (blue backgound) to the page

and when i click file menu > preview in browser,

Why i am not seeing the original hit counter?

Because its not hosted on a server.
and the server must allow frontpage extensions.
