Information collection site sticking point

Hi I have made a website to collect information from people based on a schematic overview of a site I work on.

The squares on the page are hyperlinks and the alt text shows a description of what they are although it is self explanatory due to the squares placement on the page.

What i am finding hard to do is to have the ability to make one of the squares flash.

Can anyone tell me if they know how i could do it.

Well I'd go about that by slicing the image into segments, then where you want that square to flash, make that segment an animated gif image! Then put it all together in a table.

Seems the most logical way to do it...
