Email Newsletter recommendations?

I have a client who has asked me to set up a nice html newsletter that can be sent to 1000 recipients or so every month.

Since I haven't done this before, I'm curious what programs are best for creating the newsletter, considering ease-or-use, flexibility, and of course, cost.

It's probably best if the client can just add content and send it out every month, once I set up a template.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Most hosts have restrictions about sending bulk mail using their services, so I'd use a dedicated solution from a specialist host. Someone like getresponse.com, aweber.com or sendfree.com. There are loads of other similar firms so shop arround.
